For me, getting happy birthday cards has always been an afterthought. I would pick up a happy birthday greeting card as I stopped by the drug store on the way to a friend's birthday party, I would put my signature on it and maybe a little note, and tape it to the box of the present that I had already purchased. The very first one I received was actually one of those animated happy birthday cards. It came with a whole flash animation, accompanied by a story. Basically, it was an animated animal dreaming about all the stuff that he would like to receive for his birthday.



However, all he got at the end was happy birthday cards. I think that the present that the character was offered was actually supposed to be the happy birthday card that I was getting at the time. I found it funny and cute, but most of all, it made me become conscious that with my own birthday greetings I could be more creative. Since then, I have tried all kinds of things with happy birthday cards!



Of course, you don't have to send happy birthday cards over the Web to find a card that does funny and cute things. You can actually buy singing happy birthday cards in stores. Well, they don't really sing but they do play a tune on an annoyingly high-pitched FM chip. They are funny, quirky and cute. An individual usually appreciate these happy birthday cards for about two minutes, after which they are becoming very annoying. You may also create your own happy birthday cards. I suppose that back in the days, this was how all the people did it. Nowadays, however, it is somewhat of a lost art. I greatly suggest that you try it though. To be able to make something pretty for someone that you love is very rewarding.
