Nestled comfortably near the city of Venice, in the north eastern part of Italy, is an enchanting sea side resort called Jesolo. Tourism is the primary industry in this area and is the main source of income for the people who are settled here.
A lot of tourists from various parts of the world including countries like Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France, Britain and Italy make a bee line to this place each year. Jesolo is close to the Adriatic Sea in Venice. The scores of sunbeds and entertainment options in this place make it the hub of tourist activity in summers.
Jesolo, towards the start of the 20th century was just a small settlement in Veneto. The advantage this place had was the fact that it was situated close to a beautiful beach. Towards the middle of this century, when holidays in beach spots became a fad, this place gained prominence and fame. This small settlement began to take shape of a town and quickly became highly sought after.
This Italian town in very different in the way it is structured as compared to the other places in the country. Every part of this town including the beach, shopping stalls and services are all designed keeping in mind the needs of the tourists who visit this place in summers. This is not a surprising fact considering that this is the main industry that contributes to the economy of Jesolo.
The beach is spotlessly clean and maintained well all year round. The entire place provides a very surreal feeling and is well protected and organized. Showers, sunbeds, ice cream parlors, life guards, first aid points, snack bars, you name it , they have it here. You need not look far for any of your necessities.
The main part of the town is concentrated within just 10 kms of which two to three streets are the prime places of activity and fun. Most of the town is dedicated to car parking facilities, building sites and access roads. People who like cycling can avail cycles on hire to travel from one place to the other. There are gambling dens too which satiate the hunger of the gambling frenzy crowd that comes to this place.
Various activities, ranging from parades to cat walks and firework displays, are organized here on a regular basis. So, any tourist visiting this place can be sure that there will not be a single dull moment on this beautiful beach town.
