Bed and Breakfast is also known as B&B and it offers accommodation and breakfast. Bed and Breakfast does not offer any other meal. This term was originated in United Kingdom but now it is used all over the world. There are less than 10 bedrooms in a typical Bed and Breakfast. Moreover, B&B are generally used for the commercial purpose.
Bed and Breakfast accommodations offer cheap services because the owners design these houses very simply to keep their costs low. The guests are generally accommodated in the private rooms and there are private bathrooms in each room. In some of the accommodations the bathrooms can be shared by the guests of two or more private rooms. Rooms are designed to give maximum comfort to the guests. No other meal is served in these rooms and the breakfast is served in the rooms of the guests or in dining rooms.
Most of the Bed and Breakfasts are operated as private and primary businesses of the individuals but some of the individuals are also running this business as a secondary source of income. The costs of this business are very low because most of the owners prepare the breakfast on their own and perform other work of the guest house themselves. In relatively large Bed and Breakfasts professional staff for cleaning and cooking is hired. In order to keep Bed and Breakfasts different from the Small Hotels, professional management is not hired in these accomodations. Bed and Breakfast is a kind of tertiary business and it comes below the standards of Small Hotels.

Floating Bed and Breakfasts are made in the houseboats or boats and they give extreme entertainment to the guests. Although Bed and Breakfasts are available all over the world but their services can vary on the basis of the national differences.
Similarly the rules and regulations of Bed and Breakfast also vary in each national jurisdiction. The primary requirement in all Bed and Breakfasts is the safety. According to regulations, Bed and Breakfasts should have proper rooms, bathrooms, proper fire escape plan in space and smoking detectors in all of the rooms. Therefore, all of the necessities are offered in Bed and Breakfasts.
Therefore, we can say that Bed and Breakfasts provide the best options to the travelers who cannot afford the high rates of the hotels and Inns.
