Ferrari is the team that caught Andrew Evans fancy and he was very vocal about it. In order to begin his racing career he had to pay his dues. This is route is one most drivers would not take. He however restricted his burning desire to a hobby during the 80s. Only when the bad times came that he decided to turn his burning desire into a profession. Due to his determination, he got permission to participate in the International Motor Sports Association’s Camel GT Lights class category. And before the 90s ended his burning desire and determination enabled him to make tracks on legendary tracks both in Europe and the United States.
Andrew Evans was not happy with just racing he wanted to take his burning passion to the next level. The only way to do this was to form his own team. He formed is own team called team Scandia. The next thing he did was to get some of the best drivers on his team. He then had team Scandia racing in some of United States’ highly competitive races. Team Scandia won the 1995 edition of ‘12 Hours of Sebring’. The driver who won this race drove a Ferrari. This victory was first of its kind since the year 1972. This victory was special him and Ferrari. So in order to show its gratitude Ferrari allowed him to directly buy the F 50 instead of leasing it as it was the practice at that time.
