Research states that for better long-term fat loss results, start to lose fat quickly.
So here is your starting point - Develop your own fat loss plan. What do you want to do - lose fat - how much? How much weight do you want to shed? What is your BMI? What are your measurements around your body?
Be clear where you are starting from by writing your answers down - so you know how you are doing once you have got started! This is important - hold everything else, just for today - take action and build your fat loss plan today.
Now once you have written your fat loss goal down now is the time to plan out your meals - this will help to keep you on track. A great tactic is to plan your meals for at least a week ahead, maybe more. It's not hard to do - be thoughtful each day from the minute you wake and want some breakfast through to your dinner.
So your meal planner could look like this:
Breakfast - 1 egg, 1 slice rye toast, 1 pear, Green Tea OR Fruit smoothie of mixed berries
Snack - 1oz unsalted nuts, 1 apple, Green Tea
Lunch - Grilled chicken/salmon or black bean salad with spinach, onion, peppers, mushrooms, watercress, 1 banana, 1 plum or bowl of cherries, 2 cups unsweetened iced tea with lime or lemon
Snack - Unlimited raw vegetables and hummus
Dinner - Protein, such as a small piece of steak, chicken or fish with a selection of vegetables followed by a bowl of your favourite fruits.
Or the main meal could be wild rice with beans, avocado and salsa.
In addition to planning out all of your meals, you must also start keeping a food journal, because studies show that keeping a food journal will help you lose fat faster. Just stick to your plan for 2 weeks and you can lose around 10 pounds of fat in this time - more if you combine this with an exercise routine.
Be sure to take a "before" photo along with your weight, BMI, and measurements of your waist, hips, arms, and thighs. Weigh yourself each week, as research shows that frequent check-ins lead to greater weight loss.
It is not that hard is it? Just needs some planning and commitment.
