You may call bipolar disorder a kind of depression because that is what it is. It is the kind of depression that sometimes results in the infamous multiple personality syndromes, when people are unwilling or unable to face their problems and deal with them. In any case, they usually don’t even know that they have problems, which is why they got that bad in the first place.

Well, there is normal sadness; the way you feel when you are not happy about something that has happened to you. And then there is serious sadness; that's what they call depression. It's what happens to you when you stay too sad for too long, so that you don't even know what you are being sad about anymore. Finally, we've got severe or major depression. That's when you want to end it all. So, unless you steer off depression as soon as it starts, it might lead to such conditions that won't be pleasant one bit.

Regardless of sex or race, ethnicity, or whatever else the human race is classified by, anybody could be depressed at any time; what only counts is the trigger. Now, how you handle the depression says a lot for you. You might decide to live in denial, or you could accept it and permit it to rule your life. Otherwise, you could acknowledge it, identify its trigger, and solve the problem once and for all.

Depression is an illness that affects everybody. You could be black or white, green or orange; as long as you've got feelings, depression is one of them. Now here's the catch: not everybody is manic or clinical depressive. If you are one of those, you need help, and you need it fast. Talk to friends that truly love and care for you and they will help you out… much more than you can help yourself.

Readings from various research sources indicate that depression is more rampant in modern day than it was in the last century. For some reason, people are being more worried and sad as the days go by. This is not in the United States alone in fact; it is a thing that has been observed all over the world. But of course, anyone can do something about depression – they can choose to fight and win the war against depression, rather than allow it to win.

Depression rarely, if ever, comes upon you as a blast. It begins softly, and then it deepens gradually over several months or years, depending on how quickly you catch it – or not. I'd pray you were one of the few people who caught on quick so YOU don't make a mess of YOU, before it's too late.

There is no question about the fact that depression usually alters your appetite when it hits you. In some people, the depression makes them eat more, while in others, the reverse is the case. Actually, this second instance is more often the case.

Depression will change your energy level for sure, negatively that is. Restlessness and agitation are never far away, leaving you fidgeting and pacing. Also, it could be the other way round. You could lie down moping throughout the whole of the day and yet feel no better at the end of it.
