For businesses, the holiday season is a perfect time to connect emotionally with customers, which is a great way to establish strong business relationship. By sending holiday greeting cards, business owners are given the means to express their gratitude for the support of their loyal customers (cards are also usually sent to prospective customers, with the appropriate messages).

Business holiday card messages convey good intentions from businesses to customers. In fact, holiday greeting cards can prove advantageous to your business. Not only will the recipients appreciate getting a greeting card from your company, they will also keep your brand on their minds even long after the holiday season.

If you are now planning to send holiday greeting cards to your customers, you have to make sure that your message shows your sincerity in sending your holiday cheers. But with the hubbub and potential stress that come with preparing for the holidays, it can be quite an effort to think of the appropriate things to write on a greeting card. Writing a holiday message can be challenging especially that you are representing your company. Just remember to keep it short and simple. You are not writing a sales letter or a press release so there shouldn’t be any pressure. Write from the heart and be sincere with your message of appreciation. If you need some ideas to jumpstart your writing, here are a few sample greetings that you may put on holiday greeting cards:

a. Season's Greetings from (name of your company).
b. Wishing you a joyful holiday season.
c. Extending holiday cheers from us here at ____.
d. Happy holidays and a festive New Year!
e. Wishing you a great year ahead.

You may choose to write one of these or any of their variations before segueing to a short message of gratitude:

- We appreciate your support this year and we are looking forward to another year of doing business with you.
- We would not be the success that we are without your support. That is why you are one of the reasons that this Holiday Season is a joyful celebration for us. Here's to another awesome year with you.
- The holiday season is a great time to stop and think about the people you are most grateful for. You’re up there on our list.

For sure, you have written holiday messages to your friends and family over the years. So, this shouldn’t be that hard. The only difference is you are communicating to people who can affect the success of your business – your customers. Make sure that you create a balance between being professional and being warm and friendly. After all, your customers still see you as a business entity that they go to you for their specific needs. Be professional but without being too aggressive with your branding and marketing agenda. Remember, your message that you write on your holiday greeting cards is not you. It is about your customers. So make them feel special and important this holiday season.
