A good list is mostly important when you are carrying out a postcard campaign. But what should be in your list? How would you plan out your campaign? Here are some items that should be in your list:
• A good mailing list. The mailing list is actually a database of your prospective customers. It should be a result of a comprehensive research that points out the people who are likely to buy your products or services. There are some considerations when you are developing your mailing list such as the demographics of your prospects, their purchasing power and the like. If you don’t have time to create your own list, you can always purchase one from a reputable provider. You have to make sure though that there are no duplication in your list and it should only contain names of people who will be influenced by your message.
• Develop a strong headline. What actually attracts your customer’s attention easily is the headline of your postcards. This is why it is important that you create a strong headline that will catch attention at a glance. If you don’t want your cards to be tossed out easily, then be sure you put a compelling headline in your card. The following are questions you need to ask yourself when creating your headline:
• Are you able to identify your target audience with your headline?
• Do you have a compelling headline that promises benefits?
• Do you have an offer that is hard to resist?
• Is your headline short, clear and direct to the point?
• Create a clear and compelling message. Now the content of your card is the most important part of your card. This has to be clearly written and deliver your message in the most compelling and irresistible manner. Use a simple font that is easy to read and as much as possible avoid fancy words. Just deliver your message head on.
• Attractive offer. This is an important part of your postcard printing. A well presented offer will let you generate the best response from your target market. Keep in mind that people will basically ask what they can benefit from a business before deciding to buy. This makes it critical to present the best offer to your prospects.
• Forceful call to action. This is where you tell your prospects what they should do next. You can ask them to call you or visit your web site if they desire to purchase from you. A strong call to action is important as this will decide whether you get sales or not. Make sure that your call to action is simple and straight to the point to make the responding easy. If you are able to do this, you can be sure to get the result that you desire.
